====== Crossroads ======

The crossroads is one of the first areas the player visits, after the [[regions:observatory|Observatory]]. It connects to most of the game world, and is the location of several quests. It also has an entrance to the [[dungeons:cistern|Cistern]].

The region is populated by zombies and squads of [[factions:freelancers]] and [[factions:insurrection|insurrectionists]]. Rarely, squads of [[factions:revolution|revolutionaries]] will also wander in.

In clockwise order, starting from the north, it connects to [[regions:dead_bridge|Dead Bridge]], [[regions:m35_north_east|M35 North East]], [[regions:goldwood_forest|Goldwood Forest]], the [[regions:Observatory]], [[regions:flood_plains|Flood Plains]], the [[regions:Depot]], and [[regions:black_lake|Black Lake]].

==== Dock A ====

A large warehouse along the goldwood river. On its upper level, there is a wrench guaranteed to spawn behind a locked door, which can be used for the contract [[contracts:broken_wrench|Broken Wrench]].

On the north side of the warehouse, in the water, there's a tunnel leading to the entrance of the [[dungeons:cistern|Cistern]].

==== Scrap Depot ====

A junkyard full of garbage and rusting metal. In the contract [[contracts:signal_jammer_crossroads|Signal Jammer: Crossroads]], the signal jammer will always spawn in this area.

==== Farmhouses ====

In the northeast are several locked farmhouses. These locks can be picked, or the doors can be broken with a strong melee weapon. Alternatively, the [[regions:m35_north_east#strange_shop|Strange Junk Shop]] occasionally sells the farmhouse key. Across the road, behind a building, is an eather pump.

One of these farmhouses has a note in it, which is needed for the contract [[contracts:Missing Contact]]. The note hints towards the nearby field - there, between a rock and a stick, you can dig up a package containing [[items:artifacts#consumable|Stardust]] and a [[items:artifacts#consumable|Glow-Sprout]]

==== Water Lock ====

In the southeast is a water lock for ships, which is a potential spawn point for players using randomized spawn locations. The contract [[contracts:crossroads_dead_drop|Crossroads Dead Drop]] places the dead-drop in this area.
